No Bucket List
Just thinking...about a pilot ( some time back) I met in the jet way one day .... that did not know me well....but still laughed in my face ( before even introducing himself) in front of not only myself... but also in front of our out bound crew.. the pilot actualy said... " so... did your boyfriend kick you out and send you back...and if he did would you ever admit it that you made a misake to move to New Zealand?" all the time laughing in my face ...all this in the jet way in front of our crew..... So what to do... how to answer... how to answer...I did the only thing I could do... I reach into my pocket ...prayed for a dollar billl....some coins, change something to equal $1, ahhhha! got it! I said " Well here is a dollar , and placed it in his hand.... and said now why don't you go buy yourself some of your own business and leave my alone... and I actually give him a dollar bill" ..because I felt he was just a little to bit nosey in my business and was trying to find something wrong with the way I was enjoying my life at that given moment...while I was actually having the time of my life..... My finally word... Is to enjoy and live the life you have always dreamed...if you do it right , there is no bucket list at the end....don't you agree?

There are many rude people in the world...those who blurt out the first thing that comes into their heads..they have no manners and are awkward, socially inept creatures. I feel sorry for people like that.
ReplyDeleteYou on the other hand have character and integrity.
Interesting how we remember these events years after they have occured...I am sure that anyone of us has a handful of experiences that we cannot shake.
I do have a few things on my bucket list which I hope to attend to one day...I try to live in the moment and embrace joy and beauty in the small things.
Your words and advice of living life as you have always dreamed is pure poetry.
Desiree, something I always admired in you was your appetite for exploring and experiencing new things, people and places. It takes a brave person to pick up and move to a strange new country, something you did more than once, something most people never get to do. Your life is so much richer for the experience. No words anyone can say can take the memories and experiences away from you.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that he did not know you well but was aware of your living arrangements and attempted to publicly belittle you is a little strange too, wouldn't you say? Something very interesting going on there with Mr. Nosey Parker...
Desiree.... I remember telling you this several years ago....you have a beautiful way of telling someone to "go to hell" and do it with such class !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI on the otherhand do have a "small" bucket list....a girl's gotta dream....I am happy that I have seen, done and been..learned and remember moments and not days....
Hugs to you,
Mo :-)
Hi Girl!
ReplyDeleteVery few people can match your class act. That was priceless.
It has been way too long since I have seen your beautiful face or herd your endearing words of wisdom. Everything you say and touch has love and wisdom running through it.
The most treasured times of flying were with you doing charters and being spoiled by some lovely creation you prepared for our crew.
I still have the beautiful gifts you gave me--the gorgeous Japanese UKIYOU Tarot cards and the "Gong Hee Fot Choy" that I had no luck in locating. Even the wrapping was a masterpiece! YOU ARE SUCH A WONDERFUL GIFT TO SO MANY! YOUR STORIES OF NEW ZEALAND AND FRANCE ECHO IN MY HEART, WHICH I STILL TELL PEOPLE ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL, TALENTED AND ADVENTUROUS LADY WHO HAS LIVED A LIFE THAT FEW CAN ONLY IMAGINE--EVEN IF THEY ARE FLT. ATTEND'S! YOU HAVE MADE NO EXCUSES--YOU JUST DO IT!.....NOW, DO THOSE WHO LOVE YOU A GREAT BIG FAVOR AND SAY MANY MANY TIMES A DAY WITH GREAT FEELINGS OF JOY AND TRUTH, "THANK YOU FOR MY HEALING, THANK YOU FOR MY HEALING". GET THIS FEELING INTO YOUR CELLS...SAY IT OUT LOUD OFTEN AS THE VIBRATION OF THE SOUND OF YOUR VOICE TRAVELS TO YOUR INNER CORE. SENDING YOU GOD'S HEALING LIGHT AND LOVE, ALWAYS MISS YOU! Dear Desie, It has been years, I didn't know you had gotten married or that you were sick..I am so happy for your marriage. I know he must be a jewel for you have always been the most amazing person..I want you to know how these things I got from you..You are the most beautiful woman. I was speachless, then you showed me your collection of beautiful lingerie and it was exquisite. You told me to do something for myself like this everyday. Then we talked about all the places you had lived and books. We both loved books. You said your parents were very smart and well read..and I am thinking to myself..So are you. You always took the high road. Life was always a great adventure for you. I am praying for you and Sven. I am thinking of you with this horrible road you are going through. My thoughts are with you. You out shine even the stars.
ReplyDeleteHi, I think you mastered that very well! To be able to make the right repartee at the given moment is a gift - or sheer luck! When I am lost for words (seldom the case :-) I just give back what a rude person had said to me, asking: "Do you mean that ...(then phrasing it)" You can be sure: they never intended to say This - and you have time won to think what to say. The British have found another way that is very fine too: They simply ignore - like the Queen they look in front of them impertubed so that the rude person starts to think he just hadn't said anything :-)
